Reduce AI coding retries by fixing the brief first
When an AI coding task keeps restarting, another longer prompt may repeat the same uncertainty. Look for the decision that the brief never resolved. Rework can come from an unclear workflow, an unavailable integration or an approval boundary discovered too late.
Was the requested behavior missing, was the source inaccessible, or did a test fail? These are different problems. Record the observed result and change one relevant variable. Do not repeat a deployment, payment or message while the previous outcome is uncertain.
Check a small useful slice
Review one complete journey early: for example, create a record, display it, edit it with the correct role and confirm it survives reload. This reveals a wrong data or permission model before it spreads through the interface. Keep working behavior covered by regression checks.
Estimate preparation savings honestly
An organized brief can reduce discovery and repeated clarification, but it does not remove implementation work. Treat any QERA estimate as an estimate with a scope, formula and assumptions. Ask the receiving provider to assess it independently; do not turn person-work hours into a guaranteed earlier launch date.
